Our Parks

Our Two Parks
Cheyenne Off-Leash Dog Park and K9 Acres Off-Leash Dog Park offer space where the public and their dogs can play, train, and exercise together without the dogs being leashed. You might find people practicing obedience, tracking, or hunting retrieves, jogging with their dogs, or enjoying a game of fetch.
The Parks provide opportunities for dogs to learn human-dog and dog-dog socialization skills, which will make them better citizens and neighbors. Elderly or disabled dog owners can come to the park, providing an accessible and safe place to exercise your canine companions. The parks are also a great place for dog owners to meet other dog lovers, and to talk and exchange information about dog ownership.
Currently under construction is the newest park, Jones Park Off-Leash Dog park that is being built. Continue to follow us or Cedar Rapids Parks and Recreation on Facebook for the latest updates.
Reminder: a permit is required to enter either park. They can be purchased through the Cedar Rapids Parks and Recreation office either online or in person at 500 15th Ave SW, Cedar Rapids, IA.
