Jones Park

The City of Cedar Rapids is in the final design stages of converting approximately 10 acres of the former Jones Golf Course into a dog park! Feedback on conceptional designs was gathered at a public meeting in July 2023 and incorporated into the plans. The dog park will include separate areas for large and small dogs, a training yard, a pond, and a trail. The dog park will be accessible from a new driveway to C Street SW, north of the Tait Cummins Sports Complex. Construction is anticipated to start soon. Opening date is yet to be determined.
