K9Acres Park

K9 Acres is an 11-acre, completely fenced off-leash area with three separate yards. The main area consists of eight acres of grassy area with a walking trail, benches, and an open-air pavilion. 

A separate, two-acre training yard (on the left as you enter) is fenced off for dog training and preparing your dogs socially for the main yard. Only one dog owner is allowed at a time, with a maximum time of 20 minutes. 

The smaller, one-acre yard is reserved for small dogs and contains an open-air pavilion. 

You’ll find ample parking, water (during the warmer months), dog waste bags, and trash cans for your convenience.

Reminder: a permit is required to enter the park. They can be purchased through the Cedar Rapids Parks and Recreation office either online or in person at 500 15th Ave SW, Cedar Rapids, IA. Rabies vaccination is required, and you’ll need to know your tag number.
